Book Signing at Downtown Indigo

Just had a wonderful and successful book signing at downtown Indigo store in Vancouver, BC this past Saturday. We met lovely people, made more new contacts and friends. Great to see familiar faces who are always supportive for us and our books.

We had Patrick filming us as well for a Documentary Film we are planning to do with Jenny and my life journey with her Autism.

The coolest and most exciting thing that happened during our signing is that I got a message from the actor Freddie Highmore, who is the lead actor in the TV Series, "The Good Doctor"! He plays the role of a young autistic man who wants to be a Doctor. He said he wanted to read our books!! In watching the pilot of the show, some of the similarities of his life and Jenny's brought tears to our eyes.

We have been asked to do book signings at the above Indigo store once a month, so looking forward to that as well.

In saying that, Christmas is coming up and our books would make great stocking stuffers or gifts under the tree!! Both are great reads, best sellers and are getting quite the following. Jenny's novel is the first of a Trilogy and she is working on the second book and over half way through.

Our book signings and speaking engagements is part of our goal and embracement of shining the positive of Autism and shedding the stigma box that is still associated with it! And to give hope and a light for parents and siblings whose child or sibling has been diagnosed, as so many families, including ours, said it was like being hit by a truck and being in a fog.

Autism is not a death sentence, it can be a rich fulfilled life sentence and Jenny is living proof that one with Autism can live their dreams and attain their goals. These individuals are a huge asset to our work force and society and their talents and quirky personalities are a joy to be around and we learn so much from them!!

Autism connects and Autism rocks!!
